The drive, which can support multi-RAID systems with up to 8 hard disk drives, allows large volumes of data to be reliably stored and accessed by multiple clients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

 

 

Integrated RV sensors


Regular hard disk drives without RV sensors can affect the performance of a multi-bay NAS System by generating 'knock-on' vibration. N300 drives ensure high reliability by minimising vibration effects through their advanced control and sensing technology. Multiple sensors detect the slightest shock and built-in RV sensors also compensate for rotational vibration - eliminating the possibility of 'knock-on' vibration in multi-bay NAS configurations system.

Toshiba’s Internal Hard Drives for NAS have been compatibility tested by NAS system providers to support compatibility between Toshiba’s storage products and solutions such as host bus adaptors, controller cards, enclosures and systems.  Toshiba Corporation including its affiliated companies makes no warranty, implied or otherwise, and cannot be held liable regarding the compatibility, performance, or reliability of its Internal Hard Drive when used with these NAS systems.

Contact Toshiba regarding compatibility

 

Besides the above information of compatibility testing provided by the NAS system providers, Toshiba performs and supports interoperability testing between Toshiba's storage products and certain NAS system provider’s systems. That may include that; 1) to perform problem duplication and resolution of related issues in complete systems, 2) to perform compatibility testing of new Toshiba products and new firmware releases, and 3) to perform benchmarks to ensure quality and performance.

In addition, Toshiba is involved in numerous standards committees and designs its storage products to work with other combinations of industry standard hardware and software.
